I was following up with correspondence for which I cited my third-party designee status and the NYS representative I spoke with told me it is invalid without my email address and PIN. I checked the NY corp form and those boxes are blank, however, in the individual module these boxes are filled out. These are supposed to flow from the preparer setup but for NY businesses it does not. How is it that Lacerte does not know this? There is an override to have these boxes filled out, but this is something that should be automatic. We cant override 500 tax returns to fix this problem.
