Does Lacerte compute the real estates taxes on 8829 or do  we have to do the worksheets by hand?  If the program computes it, please provide input instructions

I've always had to do them by hand. I made a spreadsheet and I just copy that tab into my Excel recon workpapers every time it applies to a client.

Thanks.  I was afraid of that after I spent a lot of time yesterday thinking I was doing something wrong.

That weird; on Pro Series you enter the RE taxes on the 8829, enter the sq footage for the office, and the rest goes to Sch A.
