intuit expects us to give a 1040 tax return to a client now THEN PREPARE a 2026 estimated worksheet later, maybe weeks later??!?!?

Make your own verfluchen worksheet and just print the 1040ES for the client.  Do clients ever really look at worksheets?

I use LC to do the next year estimated tax calculation.  (I somehow misled you into thinking that the client looks at the worksheet.) Building a worksheet is a good idea but would take me some time. 

Feb 14!  And 1040-ES isn't yet ready!

The 1040 ES mailing issues is independent of the ES worksheet.

It is absolutely ridiculous that Lacerte does not have the 1040 ES WORKSHEET finished.  It is February 15th!!!!!  I could work around the 1040ES form issue due to IRS problems.  I pay too much for this software to make my own worksheet.  I am sitting on multiple tax returns waiting for Lacerte to get their act together.  My filing season keeps getting shorter and shorter due to Lacerte's shortcomings.

agree! OBBBA passed into law on July 4. It is seven months later and it is unacceptable.

Called this morning.  No update today 2-17.  Update scheduled for tomorrow 2-18 and another scheduled for 3-4.  Customer service has no idea what is on the update.  Soooooo, if it is not in tomorrow's update, we will have the wait until MARCH!!  Yes, March.

BEWARE!!!!   The 1040 ES worksheet is NOT calculating correctly.  It is doubling line 2C but the doubled number does not show up on line 2C.  The doubled number is NOT correct.  It is also not giving the correct amounts on the estimated forms if 100% of 2026 is selected.  I have tried to force the number to see what changes.  NOTHING CHANGES.  USELESS WORKSHEET!!!!!!!

Just called Lacerte.  They do not have an open case on the 1040ES worksheet calculating incorrectly.  Please call and let them know.  Posting on here does not let them know.

Is this true... that Lacerte PTB have NO idea the worksheet is still a mess?  Doesn't anyone (quality control) check the basic math on things before pushing out updates?

When will Federal Form 1040-ES and Federal ES Wkshts get finalized by Lacerte? IRS finalized these items two weeks ago, February 12th.  These are critical diagnostics and are holding up way too many returns.
