Why is the spouses medicare premium not being deducted when I put code 1 into to deduct?

Self employed taxpayer and I put a code 1 to deduct medicare premiums for taxpayer and spouse under the taxpayer column.  It is only deducting the taxpayer's medicare premium as SE health insurance.   Why is it deducting the spouse's medicare premium?

4th box down on the 14.1....1= deduct spouses......etc.

Do you have that box populated?

    I'm having this same issue and yes, I do have a 1 in the 4th box down on screen 14.1.  It's not deducting the spouse's Medicare premiums as SEHI even though taxpayer's SE income is plenty high enough.

    You need to put a 1 in the 3rd box down under the spouse as well as a 1 in the 4th box down under the taxpayer.
