Question

The software wants an SOS number for general partnerships, there is none - how do I override the diagnostic?

Can you put in the state tax ID number or the client's hat size to take care of the issue?

Lee if the that involves a CA return, be aware that FTB sent out partnership number notices last year.  Check with your client whether a Notice 763B was received.
