Question

My tax exempt entity loaned an office 6000. The input on Screen 50.1, is an override. How do I enter it directly?

Hi @Mazzola22 thanks for stopping by the Community and asking where an Officer loan would go in a tax exempt tax return. We would take a look at Form 990 instructions to see what line on the return the amount should go. Example, when looking at Form 990 instructions we see that on page 49 it states:

Lines 22–24. Enter on line 22 the unpaid balance of loans and
other payables (whether or not secured) to current and former
officers, directors, trustees, key employees, creator or
founder, substantial contributor, or 35% controlled entity
or family member of any of these persons, and persons
described in section 4958(c)(3)(B). If the organization reports a
loan payable on this line, it must answer “Yes” on Part IV, line 26.
Don’t report on line 22 accrued but unpaid compensation owed
by the organization. Don’t report on line 22 loans and payables
excepted from reporting on Schedule L (Form 990), Part II
(except for excess benefit transactions involving receivables).

If we go to Form 990, page 11, Line 22 and right-click Jump to Input it takes us to screen 51.3 where a loan may be entered.

If have determined which line of the return the loan should be reported on, you can check whether Jump to Input is available for that line. If Jump to Input is not available you could connect with Lacerte Support. Let them know which line of the return the amount needs to be reported on, and they can help locate the appropriate input screen.
