How to mask SSN except for the last 4 digits?

Can Lacerte mask SSNs on PDFs, but show the last four digits - eg: ***-**-1234? Our clients often need their tax returns to show those last four digits for bank / legal purposes. Thanks and happy holidays!

    I imagine Lacerte could add that feature, but I sure would not hold my breath. You can do it with either a dark marker, or some pdf editing software that does redacting. 

    I believe the fear is that clients would still think they need to mail the forms, so I would just print to pdf with a watermark to "DO NOT FILE" or some other wording of your choice. You can edit that in the Settings of the Print Tax Return
