How to enter a solo 401K contribution for a single shareholder c corporation

Individual is sole shareholder of a c corporationHe has W-2 wages of $75,000

Lacerte doesn’t want to let me enter it on screen 24 solo 401k because it shows diagnostic #3421 (no self employment earnings.

Please help, I’ve tried everything I know

Are you preparing the 1040?  If so, it really isn’t going to show up there.

If it was an Employee contribution to a Traditional 401k, Box 1 of the W-2 should have already been reduced by the employee deferral and the W-2 will have a code in Box 12 indicating the contribution (which could possibly trigger other things, such as the Saver’s Credit).

If it was an Employer contribution, that should have been a deduction on the 1120.
