Form 1120-F Amended 2024 tax return

I am preparing an amended Form 1120-F tax return.  On page 1 of the original return, it showed 18,032 of tax on line 2, 424,500 withheld/paid on line 5i and an overpayment of 406,468 on line 8b.  The 406,468 overpayment was refunded.  On the amended return the tax is now zero.  For the amended return how do I show that the 18,032 of tax from the original return should now be refunded?

It is very confusing and I don't know how to handle this via Lacerte.  I efile the return.

Thank you very much.

Hi.  Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the procedures for an 1120X are different for an 1120-F.  Lacerte prepares an 1120-F, but I cannot find anything relating to the proper way to complete the 1120-F.  Can you please help me with that or point me in the right direction?

Thanks very much for your help!

Correction…”but I cannot find anything relating to the proper way to complete the 1120-F.”  should say AMENDED 1120-F.  Thank you very much.

Hi @YudaMan Thanks for asking and letting us know that this knowledge base does not help. We would have to recommend contacting Lacerte Support for assistance with this. They would be able to assist you with checking diagnostics and identifying the input screens related to amending the 1120-F.
