Cancellation of deby
did the exclusion for cancellation of debt on primary residense get extended beyond 1/1/18? In other words, did legislation extend it when it expired 12/31/17?

Not unless the discharge was subject to an arrangement that was entered into and evidenced in writing before January 1, 2018, pursuant to §108(a)(1)(E)(ii).
