Why hasn't Lacerte updated the Form 1040-ES Address, per the ref #61384 diagnostic?

Noticed the diagnostic today and verified on the IRS website that there are 2 new addresses for the 1040-ES to be sent to.  Called Lacerte to ask them to update the form that is still showing the old address, since our firm is concerned with having clients mail in large dollar amount checks to an incorrect address and relying on the IRS and USPS to get it right.  The Lacerte agent I spoke to said that besides the diagnostic, they don't have plans to update the form.

So, to all Intuit Accountants, please comment, like, upvote, whatever to this question so that it gains attention from Lacerte and hopefully makes them consider updating the address on the Form.  Seems like a huge oversight for them to receive this information from the IRS and ignore the updating of the actual form.

@IRonMaN Interesting that the Lacerte agent I spoke to didn't mention any of that information.  She was the one who recommended I post here.  Thanks for the link to the info.  I'll see what I can do with it.

    Support generally sucks.

The more I know the more I don’t know.

As an update, the solution that Lacerte has been putting out there has a few flaws.

    1. It doesn't offer a solution for updating the 1040-ES forms, only 1040-V.

    2. The override required to update the 1040-V address also changes the 1040 paper filing address to the incorrect address, at least for CO residents, which is a majority of our client base.  While paper filing is uncommon, it is sometimes required.

It's not just Lacerte -- I checked one of my California clients, who doesn't need to make ES payments but if I needed vouchers from ProSeries they would still have Cincinnati address.

Half this problem was caused by IRS, asleep at the switch probably because all the institutional memory has left or been fired.

Half the problem is caused by Intuit, where programmers don't know much about tax procedure and taxes, they go to H&R Block for that.

This needs to be updated by Lacerte - very disappointing.
