Can QuickBooks be stopped from automating payroll taxes?

QuickBooks Online Payroll is mandating Intuit pays and files payroll taxes.  I was told we had no choice.  QBO does not have experts in this field.  They have gathered information from the client’s usage.  What are others doing about this?  As the accountant, I speak for my clients.  This is unwanted and I’m being told I’ll have to download them into a Desktop file if I don’t want this service.

It sucks.  It doesn’t have a significant impact on my firm, but it does affect a lot of other folks.  I’m really surprised that a group of accountants/bookkeepers haven’t gotten together to sue Intuit over it.

I think it should be a class action lawsuit.  The accruing payroll taxes are taken into a QuickBooks Holding Account until due.  I assume they will earn interest on these funds.  The client will not have access to these funds.  Plus, the information the client input into the software is being used to Intuit’s advantage to offer this product/service.
