On the latest update
Forever when you hit the minus it took you to the next field. With the new update...it takes you back to the front of the amount field...WTH?!!
after the update
we cant copy company file. (because we created folder for each year, and copy company from the old year folder to the current year folder)
we can create the GL account, but cannot change the GL account number like before or delete the GL account number.
This sucks..................
I have had the same issue with the minus for dollar amounts. If you click on the minus than put in the number it switches back to just the number without a minus sign in front. I have found that I have to go back and highlight the number in question and enter a minus before hitting enter. It is so much more time consuming and could lead to doubling up numbers if you let the computer close out for you!
It was so easy before...hit the minus and go to the next field...our fingers are trying to figure it out now
I have that issue as well. It may seem minor but it is extra time spent having to tab to description field when the cursor used to go to the next field automatically.
another minor irritation and time waster (it all adds up!)
* Any one else having issues entering Transactions > select a vendor name> when the vendor name populates in the description it adds extra 5 spaces after the vendor name.
*if you need to add to the description after the name you have delete the *extra*spaces
*** Also still can't search vendors when using Alt+V. have to scroll. takes time if there are a lot of vendors
Hi @StahlManager The negative number being changed into a positive number issue has been reported and our team is looking into it.
@sandman1962 and @TNBKP01We looked into the other concern of using the - sign to move to the next field, we found that this is not and has not been a feature in the EasyACCT Software (unless you set it as your own keyboard shortcut). To move to a new field the you will need to use the tab key or F6. The F6 shortcut can be found in help > Keystroke help
INTUIT! FIX THIS!
We have been using this software for DECADES. This is a muscle memory issue. Do not change the user interface! We should NOT have to retrain our brains on something like this. Very frustrating!
Hi @sandman1962, @StahlManager, @TNBKP01, @DaniB The issue of the negative minus key automatically switching to a positive has been fixed in an update released on April 23, 2026. Please update to the latest release.
